Crafty Catch Up – Sharing some handmade cards and scrapbook layouts

Well hello, ladies and jellybeans!

As spring makes its entrance, so does the creative fever, apparently. We are on a bit of a crafty rampage in our household, which makes the crafting chaos grow exponentially. The Mister is building some miniature models, and is a huge stickler for details, which, if you are making miniatures makes it a very, shall we say, intricate process. He needs a lot of tools and strange materials to make things look the way he wants at the right scale and colour, and he’s constantly finding stuff in my extended craft stash that he can use!

I, on the other hand, need his help and feedback when it comes to other stuff I am working on, so there is like a whirlwind of crafty crossovers going on. I am loving it. It makes me happy. And slightly worried that we are both mad.

Trying to catch up with my projects this spring, I realised there are a few I haven’t shared here on my blog yet! These are all projects I’ve made for Swedish design team assignments, I will of course link to the pages, but be ready to use Google Translate if you are not fluent in “hurdy gurdy”:

Stacked die cuts using Lawn Cuts / Lawn Fawm "Scripty Hello" and "Scripty Love"

I had a bit of a foil bonanza, experimenting and trying out a few different brands, and wrote an extensive post about it over at Pyssloteket, my dear local scrapbooking shop here in Stockholm.

These stacked die cut sentiments from Lawn Fawn / Lawn Cuts (“Scripty Hello” and “Scripty Love”) came out great in the end, I love how they turned out! And I officially love foil! You can go and read the entire article over here.

I also made use of the leftover foils from my experiments, perfect for just adding small shiny bits here and there on your motifs!

Stamped and inked scribbly birds by jenandtricks, using Dina Wakely's stamps "Scribbly Birds", distress ink sprays and goild + green foil

I am so in love with these stamps by the way! It’s Dina Wakely’s “Scribbly Birds” (larger version).

Another stamp I am smitten with is Stamping Bella’s “Haley the Superhero”. Oh my gosh, you guys, she is just perfect. Do you know any super-awesome superwomen rocking the glasses , that you can send a card like this to? Because I sure do! You can find my blog post on Pyssloteket over here if you want to read more!

I also made two 12×12 scrapbook layouts for the store, using Kaiserkraft scrapbook papers. I have to say, Kasiercraft’s papers are so great; good quality, good print, great patterns. It is quickly becoming a brand I am loving:

This layouts features a photo of itty bitty tiny me with m favourite ever pair of Fiskars scissors. It is one of the earliest photos I have of me being a cheeky little crafter! I don’t think I was ever bored growing up, as long as I had paper, glue, pens and scissors. Link to article over here.

12X12 scrapbook layout by jenandtricks, using golden polka dot paperThis sparkly gold polka dot paper is also from Kaisercraft! I’m tellling ya…! The photo is from a photo shoot I had with the sweetest couple of friends, and in this picture they were engaged, but you guys, now they are MARRIED. It is so frikkin’ awesome! If you want to read more (albeit in Swedish), here is the link to the article.

Here is the Valentine’s Day Card I made for my hubby. And yes, it is the two of us nad our cat. As superheroes. It just doesn’t get any cuter than that!

I wanted it to have double cardstock as a base, to get to different shades of blue for the outside and the inside, but instead of gluing them together I used my sewing machine. I think it might be my new favourite way to make my own card bases and get some of my cardstock used up!

That’s all for now in the life of this scrapbooker.  Thank you so much for stopping by little catch up post! Take care, and I hope you’ll have a happy, scrappy day!
