Storage Sunday – My photo storage & organisation

Hello scrappy peeps! After a few weeks vacation I find myself with a whole bunch of new photos and memories to scrapbook. Between my “big” camera as well as often taking photos with my smartphone and my little lomo, I accumulated around 2000 photos in three weeks. I will probably only scrappbook a handfull of those photos, but the ones I print out, hoping to scrapbook, I need to store and keep organised, and this is how I do it right now. First of all, the storage: I keep one container with separate cases that are the perfect size for 4×6 photos, and one …

Storage Sunday – How I store my embellishments, revisited

Hello everyone! Time for another Storage Sunday, and this time I felt I needed to revisit my embellishments, and maybe share some ideas or food for thought. I wrote a post a while back on how I store my most used embellishments, but of course, thinking about it, there so happens to be a few more drawers and jars and containers filled with more of the stuff. The stuff! The bling! In my last post I focused mainly on what would me mostly likely to grab, and here are the leftovers! On the wall directly to the left of my worktop, …

Too Much Fun – Scrapbook Layout

Once in a while you have a birthday and once in a while you have a party because it is your birthday, and it is rather festive and lovely and nice to invite all your friends and family, and bake cakes and cook food and drink good wine. Also: party decorations and nice shoes and hugs and music. Good times! The pictures in this layout is from my 35th birthday party, and I hadn’t had a party in a on while and just had way to much fun making decorations and invitations and stuffing my friends with cake. As it …

Storage Sunday – How I store my paper punches

A good Sunday to you, dear reader! The month of August is nearing its end, can you believe it? For me, the autumn means new, fun projects, but for now, I want to share how I store some of my favourite scrapbooking tools: punches! While I certainly love some of my thingymajig tools for creating fun shapes for my projects, nothing beats a good and versatile punch! Paper punch storage can feel a bit tricky, as it tends to get a bit bulky. They ain’t small, but they are practical and close to indestructible. I keep mine in my plastic fantastic chest …

When did I start scrapbooking?

I got a question about when I started scrapbooking, and I had to think about it for a little bit, because in the end the answer comes down to how you define scrapbooking. If someone would have asked me this question eight years ago, when I had just discovered Scrapbooking as a concept here in Sweden, I would have said: “Oh, I just started!” and then explained how that happened. But answering the same question today, I’d say: “In one way or another, I have done it all my life”. Here are a few examples: I was the master at hoarding …

Storage Sunday – How I store and organize my stencils

Well hello there! It’s time for another instalment of Storage Sunday, and today I thought I’d share a simple way of storing and organizing stencils. I used to keep all my stencils in the original packaging, too keep them flat and to sort of keep track of the manufacturer. And then I kept them in a pile in a box like that. I found it wasn’t very practical and just became a bit of a hassle when it came to using the stencils, they weren’t very easy to get to and not very easy to put away after cleaning. First …

Friends – Scrapbook Layout

Happy Wednesday, scrappy people! Today I wanted to share a scrapbook layout with you that I made earlier this year at a big scrapbooking event i Stockholm. I was there with my two very scrappiest friends, and had such a wonderful time, which certainly inspired me to make this layout about the three of us. It came together quite quickly, even though I fussy cut the flowers from the Dear Lizzy “Serendipity” collection. The background paper is from Bo Bunny, “Forever Young”, I believe (slightly obsessed with this collection… there’s a paper with donuts on it that I just wish …

The crafter at the end of the stashiverse

Are you thinking about ways to use your stash? If you didn’t know by now, I can tell you straight out that I am very, very fond of my scrapbook papers. I think that of all the products I use for my crafting, the pretty paper is what sparks the most joy. I can talk scrapbook paper for hours on end (boring loved ones to tears), and, likewise regarding organizing them. Some people say that you can never have too much paper, and though in my heart that rings true, there comes a point when yes, one can have too …

Deranged ramblings about scrapbook paper organization

This is the deranged and rambling confession of a scrap-crazy, organizational freak. I will now commence to talk for a very long time, very seriously, and in detail, about the storing and sorting of my scrapbook papers though my “scrapbooking career”. If this topic seems insane, or insanely uninteresting to you, read no further. Nonetheless, here’s is my rant, so let me explain the evolution of my scrapbook paper organization (I know, riveting stuff, right?). Now; why am I writing about this? Partly because organizing is both important and enjoyable for me, but also because the more I think about …

Date Night – Scrapbook Layout

Hey guys! I wanted to share this layout I made using photos from a fancy date night last year. Do you take too many silly photos in the mirror in the lift? We do! Well, I do. Mr Boo tries not to roll his eyes to much in the pictures.  Thing is, I love these photos. They are certainly not perfect; blurry and weird lighting, silly faces and me holding my phone almost in front of my face like a pro… But they make me smile! Boo looked handsome, I looked cute, and we had a really nice dinner on a …

Storage Sunday – Organizing my date- and phrase stamps

Well hello there! I am slightly addicted to cute little date- and phrase stamps. They are so versatile and handy to have around! I do use them in some way or another on almost every project I create, since I at least put a date somewhere. But also, the small phrase stamps are just so perfect for that little extra touch on a page, in a cluster or on a small tag or label sticker. And you can use them over and over again. They take very little space, and you get a lot of bang for your buck. Marvellous! Admittedly, I did use …

The first time I visited a scrapbook store

Do you remember the first time you stepped into a proper scrapbook store? I certainly do. It was somewhere in the fall of 2006. Me and my mum had decided to start organizing our favourite recipes in pretty binders, but we had a hard time finding the supplies we wanted; our generic craft chain store didn’t have very much of what we needed back then, and if you were lucky, you could possibly find some plain A4 letter paper in different colours in bookshops and art supply stores, and maybe some stickers. Scrapbooking hadn’t really taken off in Sweden in …
