Storage Sunday – How I store colour (mists, sprays, stains, and more)

Hey there, scrapbookerinos and organizing buddies! I hope you are having a wonderful Easter, maybe even a crafty one, and hopefully some sunshine, and maybe even some chocolate, who knows? (Chocolate? Who said that? It wasn’t me. What? Chocolate…).

This week I would like to talk about how I store some of my COLOUR!

Last week my friend Therese, a.k.a the remarkable Tant Therese, showed us how she stores her colour sprays, mists and distress stains. I love her little hanging baskets in her craftdrobe (her re-purposed wardrobe and craft space extraordinaire)! So clever!

I LOVE my mists and colour sprays. It is seriously addicting and so much fun to use, and that’s why I try and keep them as handy and visible as I possibly can in my tiny craft space. So, directly on the wall on the right side of my desk I keep a variety of happy colour mediums sorted by colour:

I love these simple shelves, or picture ledges as they might be called. These shelves in particular is of course form IKEA (and are called “Ribba”). They are only 3½ inched deep which makes them perfect for two rows of spray bottles, f you place them a bit zig-zaggy:

I don’t bother much trying to separate the different brand or products; most of these will do the same thing in one way or another, be it with a different shine or nuance or starkness of colour. I love to mix and match! Besides, just seeing all the colourful bottles inspires me!

I do however keep anything that is pure shimmer or metallic on the top shelf:

I find it helpful; my brain thinks differently of end results that include or exclude gold, for instance ;) And sometimes it’s just nice to have that extra bit of shine handy.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks Storage Sunday! Thank you so much for visiting the blog and reading through my rambles about COLOUR. Take care now!
