Storage Sunday – Stickles Storage

Hey there! Time for another storage Sunday, where I flaunt my somewhat organized stashed. Or, like in this case, maybe a little bit less organized than I would want it to be. This weeks storage is all about those sparkly Stickles!

Last week Therese shared her system for storing and organizing her Stickles over on our blog,  and good heavens, I loved it. All sorted by colour and easily accessible, and I think that is a great way to get inspired to use them more often!

I’ve gone for more of a let’s-shove-them-all-in-a-drawer kind of approach…

In the edge of my craft desk I have this little mini chest of drawers from Ikea, the “Moppe”, made from plywood. I’ve painted it and decorated it a bit, and in it I store all my SPARKLY things, since I thought that was a coherent category: vintage sequins, new sequins, glitter, Stickles and general bling.

The little drawer are just big enough to fit my little stash:

I know they are not all technically Stickles, there are also some Liquid Pearls and some generic glitter glue, but it’s sort of all the same in my brain so I just keep them in the same place.

Ideally I would have a more accessible solution; I like to keep things at hand so I can just quickly grab them. BUT, as I don’t have infinite desk- or shelf space, some things will just have to get put away. So I try to prioritize what to keep put and not.

That does however mean that I sort of forget to use them as much as I’d like to. Possibly this problem could be solves by making a little swatch book, like Therese has done! So I’ve started to prepare some tags for this:

But I am not quite sure yet. I’d like to have little swatch books for other things as well, like ink pads, India ink, water colours, embossing powders… Do i want many little ones or one big one? I’m thinking on big one would help me get a bigger perspective and maybe inspire me to  use all of my mixed media products more in different ways.

I’m going to have to give it a good think, I think!

Hope you enjoyed this post, and maybe jump on over to, where I have also started a new series called “Practical Scrapbooking 101”.

Have a great Sunday, and thank you so much for visiting! I hope you’ll have a happy, scrappy day!
