I am such a fan of the Garden Girls videos at Two Peas in a Bucket; there are always ideas and challenges, sometimes inspiration that makes you think about the bigger picture, and sometimes just encouragement to use up a whole bunch of products in your stash. There is something there for both beginners and scrapbook nutters.
The year started off with a video by Jen Gallacher, with a new video series called “Make it Meaningful“. Interesting concept, it will be fun to follow along!
In this video the prompt was to make a family crest; to try and define what notions and concepts are important in your family and make that into a visual piece of art. I love the idea to use this in your scrapbooking! In her video, Jen Gallacher actually creates a properly shaped crest to add her symbols onto, but I decided to skip that particular part and focus on the concepts which are a big part of me and Jed as a couple. Things that matters a lot to Team Boo!
We call ourselves Team Boo for a reason, and a lot of that reason became very apparent in this layout! We are a team, simple as that. We have fun together, give each other energy and make each other laugh, basically just love to hang out together, but also give each other space, encouragement and respect when it comes to our different interests and hobbies.
I am slightly obsessed with squares right now, I love printing my Instagram photos! So I based this layout on a grid, combining papers in different layers for each square. The ink drops are a combination of Heidi Swapp’s Color Shine, Dylusions and and old, old bottle of iridescent mist that I am sadly almost running out of and can’t seem to find more of anywhere!
Anybody know a good mist that is very shimmery and iridescent without giving any colour or tint? I think the make I have is a Stewart Superior Memories Mists.
Anyway, this is my page, and I am quite happy with it. It felt like a bit of a different subject to scrapbook that just our everyday life or special occasions. And I like that :)
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! Stay safe, happy scrappy Sunday!
